The main objective of the SBTB is to develop and promote the Scottish Borders as an area of outstanding quality that attracts growing numbers of visitors throughout the year. It aims to achieve this by strengthening the tourist facilities, providing a comprehensive and accurate information service to visitors and developing strong and effective partnerships with tourism businesses and public sector agencies. The Board is supported by around 1,000 local tourism businesses who derive benefit from the services provided through its membership scheme.
