The hills that stretch from coast to coast between the English Borders and the southern upland fault form the Southern Uplands. The Southern Upland Partnership aims, through partnership to achieve the integration of environmental, social and economic landuse policies in the Southern Uplands. Some of the key objectives of the Southern Uplands Partnership include:- To help southern upland communities shape their own sustainable future, to provide a cross regional forum for southern uplands land use issues and to promote integrated farming, forestry, tourism and other sustainable rural businesses.
