Natural England is the Government Funded body, established to promote the conservation of England's wildlife and natural features. To achieve this, Natural England works in partnership with owners, occupiers and others with a key interest in the river to secure the management of the river to benefit its important wildlife.
The recognition of the National and International importance of the Tweed and its surrounding landscapes gives Natural England an important role to play in ensuring those parts of the catchment within England are adequately protected and conserved.
